The Perry Family: Extended Family Portrait Session
Every session with the Perry family has been fun and gorgeous! I love photographing this stunning family because they are just so FUN and laid back! Their Fall session at Alpine Groves Park in Jacksonville, FL was no different! But this time, they asked for an extended family portrait session because the family would be together for the holidays!
What is an extended family portrait session?
A family hires me to capture multiple generations in one session. For this session, the family included the grandparents, their sons, their daughters in law, grandson, and granddaughters. Oh and this extended family session was made even more special because they included the pups!
These sessions allow me to capture the unique relationships of grandparents, parents, adult siblings, young siblings, and many other combinations. Extended family sessions can definitely be fast-paced and it's important to schedule enough time so we can capture all of the important moments!
My extended family sessions are designed in a way to capture the whole group, individual family units, couples, and individuals within.
What to Wear!
Like every portrait session, it's important to consider your wardrobe in order to keep things looking cohesive. So as a family, choose 2-3 coordinating colors that will stand out in your location! The colors don't have to be the same shade. Dress each person to match their personality and style. Everyone should feel comfortable and confident in their choice!

Yearly extended family portraits are the best! They can be such a fun way to capture memories.
