A Bright Day at Hanna Park – Capturing the Beautiful Chaos of Twin Life
There’s something deeply personal about photographing twin families—especially when you're a twin mom yourself. I recently had the privilege of capturing a beautiful new family of four at Hanna Park in Jacksonville, FL, and it brought me right back to those early days of twin motherhood: the exhaustion, the sweetness, the sheer miracle of making it through each day.

We shot this session under the bright midday sun, when the light is at its most intense. While that can be challenging, it felt fitting—because that’s exactly what this season of life is like: intense, raw, full of brightness and beauty all at once. The love between these parents and their twin boys radiated in every image. Their connection, the gentle touches, the quiet pride—it was all there, shining through despite the chaos that new parenthood inevitably brings.

As a photographer who’s walked this same path, I know how easy it is to let these moments pass undocumented. You're in survival mode, sleep-deprived and overwhelmed. But this season—this fleeting, precious time—deserves to be remembered. That’s why I do what I do. I want to give families more than just photos; I want to give them proof of the love that carried them through.

Here’s one thing I always tell families during a session: don’t forget to step in front of the lens with your partner. Yes, even when you're tired or feeling not-quite-photo-ready. That photo isn’t just for now—it’s for your future selves, and for your children. It’s a snapshot of your love, your foundation, and the team behind all the magic.

And how cool is it to capture your little one's (or twins') very first time at the beach—right there in your session? Whether it's tiny toes in the sand or that first splash in the ocean, these are once-in-a-lifetime memories, especially for fellow beach lovers (myself included!). These moments deserve to be cherished, printed, and looked back on with full hearts.
